Senator Maltese’s Campaign committee has released its first television commercial looking toward the coming November elections. The ad highlights the Senator’s battles last year against the proposal by former Governor Eliot Spitzer on the current budget; including Governor Spitzer’s attempt cut health care and short change education aid to Queens County. These cuts would have had a direct impact on the residents of Queens County and the constituents of his 15th Senate District.

Friends of Senator Serphin R. Maltese held his December Birthday Party Fundraiser at Roma View Caterers in Howard Beach. Over 300 people attended the event, including John Catsimatidis (potential Mayoral Candidate in 2009, Rudy Washington (Deputy Mayor to Rudy Giuliani and New York City Coordinator for Giuliani for President), Philip Ragusa (Queens County Republican Party Chairman), Michael Ricatto, President of Better Leadership America and dignitaries from political, civic, union and veteran organizations.
